Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking an experienced Weighmaster. The Weighmaster’s duties include scaling out & ticket management, cash handling, and customer relations. Weighmaster will use computer systems related to inventory and scales and will be required to work in person at multiple locations in Maryland including but not limited to Baltimore, Crofton, Davidsonville, and the Eastern Shore.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year of experience working in a scale house or in a closely related field and a Diploma or GED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•Uses scale and ticketing system to weigh incoming/outgoing loads and charge customers appropriately.
•Prepares daily reports for inbound and outbound customer traffic.
•Performs accurate cash and credit card handling duties.
•Answers customer inquiries and provides information related to operations and various types of materials.
•Assists with ensuring safe and efficient operation of the scales.
•Identifies hazardous, unauthorized, or unacceptable incoming materials.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

•Strong Organizational Skills
•Works well under pressure
•Ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively
•Works cooperatively, courteously, and positively with co-workers and the public
•Proficient with office equipment, computers, scanner, printers
•Maintains productivity and accuracy during high traffic conditions
•Communicates clearly and follows verbal and written instructions
•Accurately calculates weight and pricing costs in event of electronic scale and software failure
